Following on from my previous post, and as my head seems to be firmly placed in a vintage lingerie mood right now, my Wednesday Wish List is a collection of my latest lingerie obsessions.
When I recently visited the What Katie Did shop in London I was hoping to see this beautiful Claudette range in the flesh. Unfortunately, they didn’t have it in store at the time ,which was a shame because I really struggle with What Katie Did sizing (I seem to be in between sizes) and would’ve loved to have tried it on.
I adore the cathedral shape of the bra cups, they really are so unusual, and the peach and eau de nil shades are so light and spring-like. The set it available as a cathedral bra, high-waisted knickers and a deep four strap suspender belt which was designed from an original 1950s suspender belt.
You all know I love Joanna’s Wardrobe, I make no secret of that fact, and I think this photo shows you why. Their own brand ranges are fun and flirty and have that real bobby socks feel about them, which probably describes my everyday style.
The cherry print girdle is a roll on version and has six adjustable suspender clips and it’s currently winging its way to me as I type this! I’ve also ordered the red Ella pin up knickers and Lucille bullet bra (the one pictured is the Ella bra) which I cannot wait to see.
Harlow & Fox are a luxury lingerie brand who only produce bras in sizes DD-G (yeah, my size!). This silk Eleanor set really is an indulgence purchase (if I ever feel I can justify spending quite that much on lingerie), however, you can’t help but fall in love with it. It has that glamorous 1940s feel and makes you want to give up the 9 to 5 and just waltz around your house looking gorgeous (if only).
The full cup bra in silk and eyelash lace, which is produced by the same couture lacemaker that produced the lace on the Duchess of Cambridge’s wedding gown, is £169 and the French knickers with matching lace detail are £120. Hmm, better start saving then!
This sexy little number is from Kiss Me Deadly but it hasn’t been released yet and, yes, it is already on my shopping list. I don’t normally go for leopard print but there is something about the way this is styled that really makes me want it.
The whole set of bralet, high-waisted knickers and six strap suspender belt, is based on their incredibly successful permanent Van Doren range which you can currently get in black. You can see more about the new Kiss Me Deadly spring/summer 2014 range on The Lingerie Addict website.
These fully fashioned Diamond Backseam Stockings by Dita Von Teese really are something special and you can see why she loves to wear them on the red carpet. They are a feat of engineering, with the seam detailing taking hours to create. I would hate to be responsible for matching those diamond shapes up!
They come in beige and are an ultra sheer 15 denier. They also feature Dita’s signature across the welt in pink so you know they are definitely from the first lady of burlesque. They’re available exclusively on Secrets in Lace US site and EU site where they offer her full range.
I got rather excited when Dollhouse Bettie launched these truly gorgeous Juliet Ivory Seamed Silk Stockings. They’re as close as you can possibly get to the original 1920s stockings made popular by the Flappers of the time.
Made in the softest silk knit, the toe and sole are reinforced and the centre toe has a tiny satin bow on it. The heel is a pointed French heel which then leads the eye up the back seam to another cute little bow. Dollhouse Bettie also sell 1920s Style Roll On Garters which would make these stockings look even more authentic.
