Vintage Boudoir – 1960s Babydoll Peignoir

I took my mum to a vintage fair in Cheltenham today for Mother’s Day. It was the perfect day out for both of us as we both love rummaging through secondhand items to see what treasures we can find. Neither of us bought much but I did pick up this beautiful 1960s babydoll peignoir for £10 which is a great edition to my slowly growing vintage lingerie collection.

It’s 100% nylon in a pinky peach colour and is in almost perfect condition. The only fault I can find is a tiny pinhead sized hole at the bottom near the front, although it can’t be seen once on. The label is “Dressmaker Designed” by Radcliffe, which I believe was an American company but if anyone has any other information about them I’d be very interested.

To my surprise, one of the stalls was Malone’s Vintage & Rockstar Vintage run by burlesque performer and model Missy Malone. She looked absolutely stunning, as she proves in her Instagram photo!

  1. Just beautiful fantastic looking babydoll 1960’s nylon nighties, its a pity they don’t have these beauties today, I don’t know why ….. I’m sure they would be a great hit, with the 30yr olds and older ….
