Wednesday Wish List Christmas Special

It’s been a while since I did a Wednesday Wish List so I thought I’d do a special Christmas one seeing as though it’s Christmas Eve! I’ve put together a list of things I’m hoping Santa will bring me on Christmas morning (or rather, later on in day when I meet up with my family!). Mostly, though, I’m wishing for a stress free, happy Christmas after the disaster of last year when I was ill all day and then ended up in A&E for about four hours. And no, there was no alcohol involved!

Okay, the first one is a cheat because I already know I’m getting this stunning CEO Dress from Deadly Is The Female. The last time I visited their shop down in Frome I tried this on, as well as a fabulous pair of black cigarette pants, and feel in love with both. There was no way I could afford, or justify, buying them both, so I reluctantly decided on the cigarette pants as I knew I would get a lot more wear out them, which, I can tell you, I definitely have. However, my mum, who was with me at the time, offered to get the dress for me as a Christmas present. Well, she didn’t have to ask me twice!

This sumptuous Jet Faux Fur Tippet Scarf from my new favourite website, helenmoore.com, is to die for. Last year I bought myself a lovely cream and brown faux fur collar from Oliver Bonas, however, by this winter it was beginning to resemble more of a rat than of a plush collar, so I treated myself to the softest, creamiest tippet scarf ever from Marks and Spencer. You can see it at the end of my Festive London Trip post. I loooove this scarf so much as it keeps me so warm, as well as being highly elegant, therefore I’d really like a black one to go with my lighter coloured coats.

And, of course, I’d have to have the matching wrist cuffs to really give my coats that extra vintagey look. Helen Moore is based in Devon and everything they produce is done so in the UK, which is even better. I’m a big advocate for buying British and it’s great when you find a fabulous company like this right here in our own country.

Every year my dad buys me a new perfume. I can’t remember when the tradition started but, as I’m a Daddy’s girl, this is always something that’s very precious to me. This year I’ve dropped a few hints that I’d like J’adore by Dior. I fell in love with it after first seeing the advert above. Produce an advert with some of my all time heroes in it and I’m hooked. God, I’m such a sucker!

I have a thing about glasses! I have a ridiculous amount of different styles from champagne flutes to Glencairn whiskey glasses and from 1950s diner style tumblers to wine glasses but one style I don’t have is cocktail glasses. I had a really good look around John Lewis a month or so ago at all their glasswear and these Casa Cocktail Glasses caught my eye. They’re very simple, yet very elegant, and the stem has a double dip feature just as it joins the glass itself. These would be just perfect for a martini on New Year’s Eve!

And, lastly, I’d love to find The Thrifty London Guide stuffed into my stocking. I tend to go to London at least twice a year and love finding new places to explore. Last year I received The Rough Guide to Vintage London as a Christmas present and it has been a brilliant go-to during my visits this year. However, it can be rather expensive at times, particularly when you consider the price of train fares on top, so finding really interesting places to visit that can be done on a smaller budget is going to be a massive bonus.
