Wednesday Wish List #1

I am a prolific user of Pinterest and have many boards dedicated to vintage, particularly fashion and lingerie.  One of my favourites is my ‘Wish List’ board which I have so that I can pin all of the vintage inspired clothing and shoes I want to buy. If only I could afford each and every one!

I thought it would be a good idea, for those of you who don’t follow me on Pinterest, to show you my latest editions in a regular Wednesday Wish List post so that you can really get a feel of my personal style.  And, of course, if you do want to follow me just click on the Pinterest button to the left!

Jeanies Pedal Pushers - Freddies of Pinewood

I love these denim pedal pushers from Freddies of Pinewood.  They truly are authentic of the late 1950s and have a slimmer leg than most I have seen, which suits me better due to my short legs. I’ve never bought from Freddie’s of Pinewood but I am seriously considering these for the summer.

Halterneck Pencil Red White Spot Dress - Vivien of Holloway

I visited the Vivien of Holloway shop for the first time last week (I’m hoping to do a post about what I bought later on) and had such a lovely time trying everything on.  The thing that surprised me, though, was that I fell in love with all their pencil dresses (normally I would go straight for the full circle ones) and they fitted me so perfectly. The bodice of this Halterneck Pencil Red White Spot Dress, like their Bombshell dress, has plastic boning in it so, even with my 34DD bust, I could get away with not wearing a bra. Perfect!

Timeless Dress - Deadly is the FemaleI tried this Stop Staring! Timeless Dress on in green the last time I was at Deadly is the Female and, at the time, I couldn’t afford to buy it.  However, Claudia, who owns the shop, told me they were getting it in in other colours and I couldn’t wait to see them. It comes in green, blue (as above) and red and now I just have to decide what colour I want. Oh decisions, decisions!

30s Style Sailor Trousers 20th Century FoxyI’ve recently got back into wearing the black sailor style trousers I bought from eBay for £4 (now that they fit me again!) and I’ve been eyeing up some similar trousers in other colours on 20th Century Foxy. I prefer the 1930s style ones with the buttons on the front as I feel they are more flattering across the tummy and I absolutely love the colour of these Red 30s Sailor Pants.

Ginger Swing Dance Shoes - Revival RetroI have a real thing for black and white shoes and these Aris Allen Black & White 1940s Wingtip Heeled Mary Janes from Revival Retro are just so cute.  The style is so utterly 1940s and they look so comfortable.  I bet they’d go with so much in my wardrobe!
